Giveaway: Abra-ca-Debora Pancake Day Hamper

It’s been a little while since I’ve hosted a giveaway, this is the first one of the year, in fact. I managed to miss out on offering anything over Valentine’s Day, so instead I’ve got a lovely hamper full of Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day goodies for one of you to feast on. Pancake Day falls on Tuesday 4th March this year. I really do appreciate all of the comments and support I receive on this blog, and so a giveaway is a nice way of saying thank you.

abra-ca-deboraIt’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since I last mentioned  Abra-Ca-Debora pancakes, when I created a tasty Cream Chicken and Spinach Savoury Dutch Pancake recipe, which was also featured on the recipe section of the Abra-Ca-Debora website.  Although it isn’t hard to whisk up a quick batch of pancakes batter, sometimes it is nice to be able to put together a really quick snack for the children after school using Abra-Ca-Debora pancakes and they also make a handy pudding or sweet snack, too.

I’m sure I’ll be coming up with some new ideas for tasty pancake filling again this year. If you missed them last year, do give my Polish Sweet Cream Cheese Pancakes a go, they taste almost like having a pancakes crossed with a warm cheesecake.

  46. Mango, greek yogurt, honey and passion fruit for the sweet toothed. Or for a sweet and savory I would go for cranberry, melted brie and bacon. 😀

  82. I put a tiny pinch of cinnamon in my batter to give them some extra spice and then I just fill with sliced bananas and strawberries (very out of season but they just so taste of summer!)

  162. I am very traditional with lemon juice and sugar, but hubby does the full works- ice cream, nuts, glace cherries, squirty cream and chocolate sauce!!

  319. I like lemon, but with a scoop of good quality vanilla ice cream. The ice cream has to be slightly melted when it goes in the pancake, and it’s really yummy 🙂

  434. I love my granny polish version of filling – polish cottage cheese with sugar, raisins a bit of double cream to give it a spreadable texutre and dash of cinnamon then folded and fried on butter on both sides 🙂

  457. Lemon and sugar. Will have Dutch friends visiting around Pancake Day though so may go the whole Dutch hog and have icing sugar and oodles of sprinkles!

  504. Love pancakes and I’m happy to eat pretty much anything with them, but I do love lemon and brown sugar. One of my favourite treats as a child was pancakes filled with cheese sauce – gosh now there’s a thought.

  551. I’m a golden girl – there’s nothing tastier than golden syrup and butter on pancakes. Canada girl comes a close second (Maple syrup and butter)
