Giveaway: Maille French Mustard BBQ Hamper – worth £70

I have more superb things to giveaway today, this time a Maille French Mustard Barbeque Hamper worth £70.00 filled with all the essentials for a great barbecue – including a BBQ utensil set, Maille apron, and selection of Maille mustards and sauces, such as Maille’s new peppercorn sauce that goes brilliantly with a barbecued steak. The Maison de Maille was founded in 1720, with the first  Maille mustard being unveilled to the public in 1747! Maille still make vinegars and mustards,  as well as sauces, mayonnaise and salad dressings – widely available in the UK.

    It has to be slow smoked baby back ribs cooked in our smoker with a water bath. They are super tender and tasty. And home-made coleslaw made from our own onions, cabbage and carrots is awesome to go with it. I prefer wet ribs to dry

    We’re all big mustard fans in this house, and eat it with with most meals. My Granddaughter (aged 6) is the biggest fan, and gets cross when Nana runs out. Marinated mixed meats kebabs are my favourite BBQ food.

    I used to buy lean mince and make chilli burgers with loads of fresh garlic, chilli, cardemom, and other things I can’t remember. I even picked up a burger press at a car boot sale that stuck them together better than I could manage by hand. mmmm its been a long time!

    We always make Lamb mince kebabs-they are delicious-. We mix the mince with ginger, garlic, onion, corriander, loads of spices. cook on skewers on the BBQ and serve with loads of salad, slice of lime and a pitta bread-i am hungry now!!

    I love a homemade bbq sauce made with tomato sauce, soy sauce, honey and put on chicken thighs or pork ribs.

    At the moment I’m thinking the best accompaniment to a Barbecue is sunny weather…
    A barbie is much more appealing when a blue sky’s your ceiling!
    But if we’re talking food – you can’t beat slightly chargrilled crispy skinned jacket potatoes.

    I’m not the biggest BBQ fan but use the mustard daily, such a versatile ingredient. But if I have to choose, then perhaps the fish in foil with fennel would be my ultimate BBQ food.

    My partner said jerk chicken. No hesitation. I tend to like the salads that go with it all the most. With a lovely oil and vinegar dressing. I do ribs, with a mustard and honey glaze maybe.
