In partnership with Vitamix and Great British Chefs
As a foodie you have to choose your kitchen gadgets carefully or you could end up with no space on your surfaces to actually cook! So I’m delighted to be working with power blender company Vitamix to create a series of recipes for them using their ultra convenient Vitamix S-Series, S30. It’s small enough for personal/quick blending and more compact than a standard-sized blender so takes up less space on your kitchen counter – in fact it only needs 15cm!
Small but mighty
The S30 (RRP £299) comes in a selection of different colours (mine is brushed stainless steel) so you can match it to your kitchen’s accent colour. Plus you also get a reassuring seven year warranty. It has a 1.2 litre container which is small and lightweight and stores more easily on your worktop than the 2-litre version. This means you’ve got it to hand for prepping ingredients or making very quick snacks and meals without having to root around in the back of your cupboards to fetch the blender out.
It also comes with a smaller 600ml container which quickly blends single-serving recipes and becomes an instant travel cup with a flip top lid. It is made of double-insulated materials which will then maintain hot or cold temperatures on-the-go.
What can you make in the Vitamix S30?
You can whizz up all manner of creations (and there is a full colour recipe book inside) including:
- Frozen Desserts
- Dips and Spreads
- And do Food Prep
The two containers allow you to move from one preparation method to another, fit easily in the fridge and you can serve your mixtures easily from them. The containers, blade base, lids, and seals are all top rack dishwasher-safe, making it a cinch to clean after you’ve used it.
I’ve always loved how sturdy and professional-looking the Vitamix range is. The controls are super simple with a variable speed control dial, pulse feature and an impressive 800-950-watt motor under the bonnet!
Plus, and very importantly, there’s a great new improvement which is that the motor only works once the jug is securely attached to the base – which is safer than other blenders on the market.
So to kick off my series of four recipes showcasing the versatility of the S30, I’ve started with a cocktail!
“This quick and easy frozen peach margarita recipe makes a delightfully refreshing summer cocktail. Naturally sweet thanks to the use of super-ripe peaches, this is elegant tipple is perfect for serving up at summer barbecues.”
With thanks to Vitamix and Great British Chefs for sending me the S-Series to experiment with at home. #sp by Vitamix although all views are my own.
