Simple and in Season’s First Birthday!

May 2, 2012

Simple and in Season, the monthly seasonal blog event here on Fabulicious Food! is one this month! To mark the occasion, we’re going on a little adventure over to Urvashi’s inspiring blog The Botanical Baker who is hosting the event for the month of May.

It feels strange letting Simple and in Season go, but I know it couldn’t be in better hands. I’m already seeing tweets with suggestions of recipes to come and a few comments waiting for May to be opened. So, I do hope you come and join the party. To link up this month, all you have to do is go over to Urvashi’s blog post, check the guidelines and leave a blog comment with a link to your post. Simply Linked isn’t playing on Urvashi’s blog for some reason.

There is so much wonderful seasonal produce on offer at the moment. British Asparagus has made an appearance here in the UK, which is exciting and of course, if you are already a fan of Urvashi’s beautiful blog, you will know that she loves all things botanical. You may also recognise Urvashi as a contestant on the television series The Great British Bake Off. She writes beautifully and clearly, shares her unique recipes for botanically inspired, delicate baked goods and also offers hints and tips on all things botanical and edible, such as this great post on Spring flowers – just in time to eat! This was Urvashi’s stunning entry to April’s round…though she is very keen to leave all entries entirely up to you – so there is no set theme.

That’s it from me, I do hope you are inspired to take part this month. Urvashi will be putting together a round up shortly after the 1st June 2012.

Come back tomorrow for a rather lengthy round up of Family Friendly Friday entries.

What’s in season in your part of the world?

Happy 1st birthday to simple and in season! I already know what I’m going to make – was going to make it tonight but ran out of time! Maybe at the weekend.
